At 9:00 a.m., 16 September, the 6th China International Recycled Polyester Forum, supported by China Chemical Fiber Association (CCFA) and organized by Recycled Fiber Committee of CCFA, China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI), Dr. Thiele Polyester Technology and PCI PET Packaging, Resin & Recycling Ltd, was held in Jinling Jinma Hotel Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China.


At our invitation, Duan Xiaoping, the chairman of CCFA, addressed an opening speech for the conference.

Lin Shidong, the secretary general of CCFA Recycled Fiber Commission, presented us the first speech. With detailed data, he gave comment on the development history, status quo, challenges and future development plan for recycled fiber industry.

The next speaker is Dr. Zheng Yang of National Solid Waste Management Centre. Dr. Zheng made detailed explanations focusing on environmental management system and overview of imported plastic scrap, as well as the exposure draft about imported baled bottles.

After the coffee break, Francoise POULAT, an expert on packaging materials from Danone Group, demonstrated Danone¡¯s advanced environmental concept and packaging technology.

Then, Steve Chen, the vice president of Zhejiang Boretech Co., Ltd., gave speech on Collection & Washing of PET Bottles. Hereinto, Boretech highlighted its technology edges, brand orientation, engineer capability and competitive prices.

In the afternoon session, firstly Dr. Thiele of Dr. Thiele Polyester Technology gave advices on cost-efficient in-house recycling, which may apply for not only R-PET producers but also virgin PET producers.

Next came Dr. Heidi Lv of Intertek Testing Services Ltd., Shanghai, and her topic is Intertek Recycled PET Certification. Her company helps China¡¯s recycled products to go global by introducing a third party certification of international authority.
